There are literally thousands of companies that you can open an IRA with so it tends to be a personal decision. It might be easiest to go with an investment firm that you already have an existing relationship with.

Otherwise, consider firms that have 1) low-cost funds, 2) a wide selection of investment options and 3) good customer service. I would consider E*Trade or Vanguard in particular.
