TraditionalIRA.com aims to explain and simplify the complicated world of retirement savings. Our focus is on Roth IRAs, a tool with important tax savings if used properly.

We’ve assembled a team of editors, writers and technology experts that have worked at Kiplinger’s, The Wall St. Journal, New York Times, Smart Money, Intuit, Microsoft and Yahoo amongst many others.

Scott Persinger

Scott Persinger, CTO

Scott is an experienced entrepreneur and engineering manager. He was co-founder and CTO of Alier, Inc. (sold to Active Software, later acquired by webMethods). He was VP of Engineering for consumer websites Vodpod and GoFish. Scott has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Mary Beth Franklin

Mary Beth Franklin, Executive Editor

Mary Beth is a true expert in retirement planning. She is currently also Contributing Editor at Investment News and co-host of RLTV's The Advisors program. Previously, Mary Beth was a senior editor of Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine and editor of the Kiplinger’s annual Retirement Planning Guide where she won multiple awards. Before joining the Kiplinger staff in 1998, Franklin was a syndicated columnist and her work where she wrote for the Washington Post and Chicago Tribune. She is a frequent guest on PBS’s WealthTrack with Consuelo Mack and has appeared on NBC's Today show, Meet the Press, the CBS Early Show, CNN and CNBC. Mary Beth has a B.A. in communications from American University, in Washington, D.C.
